First part of the trek: average heights between 700 and 1600 m. In the last stages, you walk through higher mountains, in Orlu National reserve, on 4250 ha, with very rich fauna (Pyrenean chamois, marmots). A whole day is devoted to the discovery of the Reserve.

Starting from Unac in Ariège Valley, this trip ends in Auzat in Vicdessos Valley.
Between 700 and 1900 m, within a week, you will discover this mountain range whose flanks formerly used to provide iron, which made the reputation and the riches of ariège.

Bonshommes' way crosses Pyrenees from Noth to South. Last Cathars into exile, fleeing prison, theft and death, used  this way to seek refuge in Catalonia. Following this cross-border route, you go through the same paths and discover the same landscapes that these men and women pursued by the Inquisition.
